Some of the treks possible in the Annapurna region:

The Annapurna region includes some of the world's highest and most beautiful mountains. There are a variety of different treks that can be started from Pokhara. Here are some examples:

Short treks:

If you are short on time or would prefer a relatively easier trek we can organize day treks to Dhampus, Sarangkot, Kalikasthan and short 1 or 2 night treks to Panchase, Australian camp and the Royal trek ..

Longer Treks:
Ghorepani/Poon Hill/Ghandruk :

This ever popular trek takes around 4 - 5 days and offers great views of the Annapurna mountain range. An ideal first time trek or for those who are short on time. Lodging is in tea houses along the way.

Mardi HimalTrek:

This trek is a hidden gem that takes you through rhododendron forests towards Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machapuchhre, Ganga Purna, Annapurna I and Mardi Himal. It can take from 5 days to 8 days depending on the route and the time available and it is classed as a moderate trek.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek: 14 - 21 days - Moderate to Strenuous

This classic trek circles the entire Annapurna massif and offers a spectacular variety of people and landscapes, from lowland farming country to alpine meadows to the Tibet-like country on the northern slopes of the Himalaya. It can be finished at Jomsom with a quick flight to Pokhara or continued on to Tatopani and Ghorepani and even on to the Base Camp trek.

The Annapurna Sanctuary Trek: 8 - 10 days - Moderate

The trek to Annapurna Base camp is one of the most popular treks in Nepal and it brings you to the foot of Annapurna I which at 8091m high is the 10th highest mountain in the world. The trek takes you into the area below the massive south face of Annapurna - known as the Annapurna Sanctuary This is a classic trek which allows access to the high mountains of the Himalaya within a reasonable timeframe and with a maximum altitude of 4000m. Accommodation and food is provided in the local lodges.

We also arrange treks to other areas in the Annapurna region including the Upper Mustang Trek, where trekkers can follow part of the old trade route to Tibet and reach the town of Lo Manthang, the ancient walled capital of the old Kingdom of Lo.

Our trekking agency can also offer treks to other areas in Nepal including Everest, Langtang, Manaslu, Dolpo, Nar Phu. Please ask us for sample itineraries and quotes for treks with our experienced guides and porters.
